I had a few places to be today and had anticipated a day of in and out of the car, but it was just so sunny I couldn't face it. A bit of timetable inspecting and I determined I could just as conveniently train it and bike it, get everything done and enjoy around 30 miles of sunshiney riding. What could have been a stressful day ended up being lots of fun!

I'm jealous - the last time I tried to plan a meaningful bike/train trip here in the South West I was amazed at how difficult it was - in fact the train companies seemed to be actively trying to discourage it. Joined up thinking? Don't get me started...
Yeah, we're pretty lucky up here. Officially it's a 2 bikes per train policy but they don't seem too strict about enforcing it. I'm planning on doing some mountain biking via train next summer, I just found out about the Dales Rail service!
