Jenn has had to return to Abiquiui - feeling better she tried to go on, but not being able to keep anything down didn't feel it was safe to continue so re-traced her steps. We know how much she didn't want to go backwards on the route and it sounds like she's pretty down right now. She's not sure if it's a stomach bug or the heat - whatever, it has to be bad to stop her riding.
Rest up well Jenn- feeling rubbish makes you miserable, but you still have plenty of time to finish this race and the hardest part is done. You'll know if you need to stop- and if you do, it's been the most incredible ride - but you know that too.
Big ol' get well hugs from all, and a special squeezy one from Zuzu. Now get outta there before she plays you a 'soothing' tune on the harmonica...

Hi! This is Pauline, Jenn's mum. For anyone who's been looking at the webcasts and worrying about Jenn's dodgy tummy, don't worry! Have just spent long time on phone to Jenn (Monday evening) and she's feeling better. Eating and drinking and keeping everything down. She's staying in Abiquiu tonight and leaving early Tuesday morning to ride to Cuba. Going to get the climb done before it gets too hot then on to Antelope Wells! She's determined to finish - did we ever doubt that?!!
Thank you SO much for letting us know Pauline! Personally I'd put money on Jenn over some upstart of a bug any time:-) We're all thinking of her - and if love and friendship can help her on her way she'll fly to the finish.
Thanks Jenn's Mum, I would put all my wordly goods, well bikes, on Jenn finishing this by hook or by crook, that girl will ride regardless...broken rib...ride, tummy bug...rest - ride...
Jenn - you do what you know you need to, we'll hear from you at the Border...
